About our Special ProgramsOur school runs a variety of programs which involve a wide range of children, as well as supporting the Key Learning Areas. Below you will find some of the general programs available. Child ProtectionDuring the year all children in our school participate in a child protection program designed to teach them how to recognise situations they feel uncomfortable with and how to deal with them. All lessons are given in grade groups relevant to the age of the child. MusicThe school has a vibrant musical and cultural life, with our African drumming group, school choir and the school band performing at various events through the year. In addition, the school hosts concerts by Musica Viva and other cultural groups during the year. Peer SupportEach year our Year 6 students are trained to lead groups of K - 5 students in activities which will help them develop into responsible and caring members of our school. The Year 6 students become mentors for the younger members of the school and develop leadership skills at the same time.
