Support Teacher Learning Assistance

It is the STLA's responsibility, in conjunction with the class teacher to identify children experiencing learning difficultiesl. The STLA organises and implements appropriate assessments and writes or assists with suitable learning programs for individual or small groups of children. Mrs Pru Leone is our support teacher for learning and works across all classes K - 6.

Support Teacher Learning for Hearing

Wendy Wait (IST Hearing) this year is working within our school supporting students with hearing impairment and their teachers.

Reading Recovery

Reading Recovery is a program which aims to catch and remedy reading difficulties before they become a problem. The program is aimed at year 1 students who are given an individual reading program five days a week in addition to their classroom program. Mrs Kim Murphy is our reading recovery teacher in 2009.

School Counsellor

Andrew Wright provides this valuable service at Pambula PS, supporting students, teachers and families within our school. He is a valuable member of our Learning Support Team.
