ABOUT the Environmental Management Committee

The Environmental Management Committee is a group of parents, students and community members under the direction of Teacher Matthew Robb who are involved in various activities and projects to improve our school and local environment including:

  • Participation in events such as World Environment Day, National Tree Day, Endangered Species Day
  • School worm farm
  • Planting native vegetation around the school to attract native animals
  • Placing nest boxes in trees around the school to encourage birds, possums and other wildlife to live there
  • Landcare and weed control
  • Water saving and energy saving projects
  • Member of Panboola Pambula Wetlands and Heritage Project Inc .

CurRent Committee

Thanks to Laurie Pincini for the knid donation of an original Melbourne street vegetable trolley. The trolley has been carefully rejuvenated by Paul Considine and his mentoring students Tom Meridith, Amir Kenyon, Kyle Sorrell, Brandon Giles and Liam Jolley.
Congratulations to the following students who were successful with their application to join the Pambula School Environment Committee: Lucy-Sue Beukers, Matisse Bunton, Tom Burn, Shannon Butterfield, Jasper Dalhunty, Ella Gordon, Miranda Hetherington, Amir Kenyon, Zac Luimes, Courtney Menz, Chloe Peck, Emily Schroeders, Jordan Spindler, Grant Stokes and Emily Yoeman.

School Vegetable Garden a Blooming Success
Our school vegetable garden is producing! Qld Blue pumpkins have been a huge success. The strawberries were being eaten as fast as they have ripened.
