Mr Mark thomson, Principal
Principal's Welcome
On behalf of our school community I welcome all visitors to our web site.
As you take the time to explore the information within these pages you will quickly learn how vibrant our school is. We aim to maximise learning opportunities and build on the many strengths that our students, teachers and community have.
We are a school committed to excellence
Highly qualified, university trained teachers along with well trained support staff provide exceptional learning experiences for your children in comfortable, well-equipped classrooms and spacious, beautifully landscaped playgrounds.
We are proud of our achievements
Our philosophy is based on the principles of inclusion. We are able to aspire to outstanding achievements while at the same time increase participation for all. Our strength is in our welfare policies. We care for our students and have the patience and expertise to support children in many challenging real-life situations.
Stimulating and innovative programs cater for student interests across the key learning areas with cultural and sporting activities enhancing development. Our performing arts program is well regarded with African Drumming, Choir, Dance & Band offered in addition to regular music lessons. Enrichment programs ensure students are well prepared for continued success throughout their schooling while leadership skills are promoted through an active Student Representative Council.
Our school is a leader in quality and innovative learning programs designed to enhance student engagement, understanding and ability to apply concepts in a variety of different situations. Our comprehensive computer network provides every classroom with secure internet access.
Effective welfare and discipline programs based on a clear set of values ensure a supportive, caring class and playground environment.
What makes us special?
We have a long and proud connection with our community. As one of the oldest established schools in the State, our Parents & Citizens Association has worked alongside staff to ensure the needs of our children are met. Active parental participation is encouraged with ample opportunity to share in the education of your child.
Pambula Public School has two support classrooms catering for the specific needs of children with learning difficulties. Staffed by specialist teachers and teacher’s aides, children in these classrooms are provided with individual learning programs whilst still participating in the full life of the school through integration sessions in mainstream classes.
Please feel free to contact me at school to discuss your child’s educational needs.
